Travis Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Griffin - Hillcrest Funeral Home on Jan. 29, 2026.
Travis Wayne Davis passed away at the age of 48 in Gainesville, TX on January 27, 2026. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home. Cremation with care to follow.

Travis was born on January 9, 1978, to Lois Annette Davis (Ely) and Glenn Davis of Durant, Oklahoma, and grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Travis was united in marriage to Beth Peake in 1997 in Ardmore, sharing 26 years together. From this union came his greatest pride and joy-his two daughters, whom he loved deeply and wholeheartedly. He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Esther Renee and Elysee Anne Davis.

Travis worked for Peterbilt Motors before becoming disabled. He was a devoted NASCAR and dirt track racing fan and could often be found following the races he loved so much. His other passions included loudly cheering for OU and Kansas City on game days and referencing every movie and song known to man. Known for his warm personality, Travis never met a stranger. He had an infectious smile and the kind of laugh that filled any space. Many friends became family to him, a testament to his kind heart and welcoming spirit.

Above all else, Travis cherished his girls. He especially loved spending time with them, including

attending concerts together, telling them the best stories, and making memories that will be treasured forever. Travis is survived by his daughters, Sierra and Natalie Davis, of Marietta; his parents, Glenn

and Lois Davis, of Durant; and his brothers, Vernon Davis of Dickson and Clayton Davis of

Durant. Honorary pallbearers include Calvin "Bub" McBlair, Josh McBlair, Clint "Dink" Jefferson, Bill Bible, Dustin "Nuke" Davis, Derek Davis, Dillon Davis, Evan Davis, Ronnie Sanders, and Joey Brown.

Travis Wayne Davis will be remembered for his humor, passion, and the love he shared so

freely with those around him.

A wake service will be held on Sunday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, February 1, 2026, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
