Funeral services celebrating the life of Travis Lavelle Halbrook, 93, of Winnsboro, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Chase Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Fontenot officiating. Interment will follow in the Chase Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.

Mr. Halbrook was born on March 28, 1931, and passed away on July 18, 2024. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, working with his cattle and horses and was a Jack of all Trades. Mr. Halbrook was a tractor mechanic working for Nelson Tractor for 65 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Burris Halbrook; his loving wife, Lillie Mahoney Halbrook; son, James Edward Halbrook; daughter, Angela Faye Box; his four brothers, Samuel, Laverne, Raymond, and James; and by his three sisters, Junita Mahoney, Mildred Coln, and Dorothy Currengton.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Beth Butler and husband, Bobby, Donald Halbrook and wife, Nancy, Melody Baskin, Joseph Halbrook and wife, Linda, Janie Yoakam and husband, Pat, and John Halbrook and wife, Penny; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; sister, Ouida Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Shaun Butler, Ralph Campbell, Lucas Baskin, Travis Halbrook, Heath Yoakam, and Trey Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers will be George Graham, Bobby Nelson, Nate Campbell, Garrett Halbrook, Gabriel Halbrook, Josh Box, and Cole Dotson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Chase Baptist Church.
