Mr. Travis T. Shearin, age 42, of Weldon, North Carolina, was born on April 16, 1983 to Shirley Shearin and the late Leroy Mallory, Sr.
He received Christ into his life at the age of 12 and was baptized at St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church in Weldon, North Carolina.
He attended Weldon City Schools and went on to further his education at Halifax Community College, where he received his certification in Auto Mechanics. Some of his favorite hobbies were fishing, video gaming and spending quality time with his kids and family. His smile was the light of every room he entered.
Travis departed this life on June 16, 2025 at his home place in Weldon, North Carolina.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories his mother, Shirley Shearin; his grandmother: Annie-Lee Shearin; his three children: Allen-Traevon Hill, Teivion Shearin, and Takaxia Shearin; his siblings: Tevin Shearin (Jakia), Patricia Chargois (Hermis), Robert Parker (Felice), Latonya Watson, Leroy Mallory, Jr. (Brittany), Joseph Mallory, Sr. (Marketa), Rashea Chatman (Ronnie); bonus sisters: Nikki Shearin, Danesha Terry, Tonya Boyd, Felecia Terry and Kim Arrington; aunts and uncles: Lorenzo Shearin (Annie), Cora Davis, Walter Mallory, James Mallory, Sr. (Charnell), Brenda Jones (Tommy), John Mallory, and Elizabeth Parker (Linwood); great-aunts and great uncles: Frank Bynum, Mary Mitchum (Harrell), and Ester Matthews (Willie); godmothers: Sheila Scott and Diane Arrington; childhood friends: Tahea Taylor, Brandon Lee and Demonte Tillery; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation in his honor will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a homegoing service at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home, located at 520 Smith Church Road, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
