Trenette Jones Johnson, 52, affectionately known as "Tre," transitioned on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. She was born on October 17, 1972, in Suffolk, VA, to Bernette Rodgers and the late Tremell Davis.

Trenette attended John F. Kennedy High School for the majority of her high school education and later became a part of the first class to attend Nansemond River High School in 1990. She later began working at Smithfield Packing Company as a gas flushing machine operator. Over the years, she held employment with two jobs at a time, which included Fresh Pride Grocery Store as a cashier, Suffolk Retirement Center as a laundry attendant, Suffolk Public Schools as a school bus driver, and Walmart Supercenter as a cashier. She later became employed at Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia as a transportation driver and worked with senior citizens until her health started to decline.

Trenette was a member of Piney Grove Baptist church in the Buckhorn community of Suffolk.

Trenette was preceded in death by her dear husband, William "Bill" Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Deliila Brodie; one son, Corey Jenkins; two grandchildren, Dallas Jenkins and Carson Jenkins; her mother, Bernette Rodgers; her stepfather, Johnnie Rodgers; four sisters, Rasheedah Rodgers, Sharneisha "Nee-Nee" Rodgers, Lakita "La-La" Frazier, and Niahah "Brittany" Barnes; four Goddaughters, Rubrena Johnson (Andre), Dejahauna Harris, Nataliyah Mason, and London Lambert; two Godsons, Melvin "Travis" Rodgers, and Jaylen Daughtry, two best friends, Darius Benton, and Shawn Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, Aunts, Uncles, family, and friends whom she loved dearly.
