Trenton Joseph Kingery

Trenton Joseph Kingery, 31, of Effingham, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the funeral home.

Trenton was born on April 27, 1992, in Effingham, IL, the son of Gerard "Gerry" and Amy (Krietemeyer) Kingery. He graduated from Teutopolis High School in 2010 and earned a degree in culinary arts from Kendall College in Chicago. Trenton had a vast knowledge and love for cooking. He was especially known for his ice cream.
Family and friends were important to Trenton, and he had a special love for his recently born daughter, Taytum. Trenton enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and playing pool. He loved animals and his dogs. Trenton enjoyed his job doing construction and was eager to learn and gain experience in the trade. He also enjoyed time spent with his best friend and cousin, Broc.
Trenton is survived by the love of his life and fiancée, Taylor O'Dell; infant daughter, Taytum Theresa; parents, Gerry and Amy Kingery; sister, Cassidy (Aaron) Warren; grandfather, John (Jean) Kingery; grandparents, Don and June Krietemeyer, Janet Beck, and Elizabeth Monroe; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dolores G. Kingery.
