Trenton Woods, 89, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Locust Lodge Assisted Living in Pasadena, MD. He was born in Bowie, MD on August 31, 1935, the third son of the late George F. and Rhea Percy (Hilton) Woods.
Trenton is survived by his daughter, Cyndi, three sisters-in-law, four nieces and four nephews, and several close friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Leslie, and his 6 brothers George, Randy, Mack, Tyrone, Bill and John.
Trenton grew up in Beltsville MD, married and joined the Marines where he was stationed in Japan and Hawaii. Once his enlistment ended, he returned to Maryland where he worked various jobs as a sheet metal worker, house painter, furniture restorer, and fire protection shop foreman until his retirement. He enjoyed helping others with house painting, yard work, or small construction and renovation tasks. His favorite pastimes were hiking and biking in the mountains of New York and West Virginia and riding the C&O Canal Towpath and Appalachian Trail.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Community Gospel Church, 8212 Parkway Drive, Pasadena, MD 21226. Interment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Gospel Church toward their Food Pantry which Trenton helped to start.
