A celebration of Life for Trey Mullins, 39, of Piedmont will be Friday, November 21, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Hale officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. There will be a gathering of friends after the service at Mt. Weisner Fire Department #2 in Centre. Trey passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Cassie Mullins of Piedmont; three daughters, Auburn Mullins (Michael), Briley Mullins and Dallas Mullins all of Centre; mother, Johnette Johnson (Jamey) of Centre; step-father, Jeff Rogers (Angie) of Forney; two grandchildren, Lainey and Kolson and one on the way; grandparents, Evelyn Puckett (Irby) , Belynda Johnson all of Centre and Yvonne Hicks of Canton, Georgia; sister, Brooke Thompson (Wesley) of Piedmont; two brothers, Dustin Mullins (Tonya) of Fort Stewart, Georgia and Casey Rogers of Centre; one half brother, Thomas Lyda; three nephews, Sawyer Thompson, Camden Abernathy, and Tyler Golden; two step-children, Madison Shields of Talladega and Drew Nowland of Jacksonville; mother-in-law, Lisa Shields; and many extended family members and loved ones. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Mt. Weisner # 2 Volunteer Fire Department. Trey was a native and resident of Cherokee County for most of his life. He was a graduate of Spring Garden High School and was a United States Marine veteran. Trey was a former employee of International Paper in Rome, Georgia and was the Assistant Chief of the Mt. Weisner # 2 Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, hunting, and was an avid University of Georgia football fan. He was preceded in death by his father; James Mullins, Jr.; grandfather, James Whorton; and grandmother, Haney Green. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Weisner Fire #2 Volunteer Fire Department, 4375 CR 71, Centre, AL 35960.
