Tri Tran Obituary

Tri Xuong Tran, a cherished soul known for his loving and gentle spirit, departed from this world on September 5, 2025, in Rowlett, TX. Born on October 6, 2002, in Independence, MO, to his devoted parents, Quang Tran and Them Vu, Tri's life was a beacon of kindness and ambition that touched all who knew him.

Tri's journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, including his adoring brothers, Dinh and Hao Tran, and his close-knit circle of friends, particularly Gavin Li and Ethan Nguyen. His family extended to include grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and the memory of his beloved grandmother, Xieu Vuu, was the cornerstone of his existence. In addition to loving family and friends, Tri wanted to live life to the fullest. His motto was "YOLO-you only live once".

Despite being born with a complex congenital heart defect and overcoming multiple surgeries, Tri remained optimistic and kind. He overcame many obstacles in life by focusing on the things he was blessed with a loving family, true friends and the ability to travel and explore the world.

As a college student, Tri was recognized for his tireless work ethic and his pursuit of excellence in academics. He was a dreamer with aspirations that soared as high as becoming a tycoon. However, deep down Tri truly wanted to be normal and live a simple life. He didn't like worrying about his health and how it limited his activities. He wanted to be a loving husband and father.

Tri's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He was an avid video game enthusiast, with a particular fondness for the world of Pokémon. His zest for life was evident in his love for travel, his eagerness to experience new things, and his enjoyment of culinary adventures at new eateries. Dancing and watching his favorite TV shows and Disney/Pixar movies were among the simple pleasures he cherished. Yet, it was the time spent with family and friends that Tri valued above all else.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Tri will remember him for his ability to care for others selflessly and maintain harmony in every aspect of his life. His presence was a calming force, and his gentle nature had a way of making the world seem brighter. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created with those he loved will continue to inspire and comfort them for a lifetime.
