Ethel Ann Ivancic, a beacon of love and wisdom, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, in Garland, TX. Born on December 26, 1937, in Pittsburgh, PA, Ethel's life was a tapestry of devotion to her family, church, and community. Her journey began as the cherished daughter of the late Edwin and Elsie Meiser and grew to include a loving family of her own.

In the heart of her hometown, on January 30, 1960, Ethel married the love of her life, Frank Ivancic. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love until Frank's passing. Together, they welcomed children and witnessed their family tree flourish with branches extending to grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a beloved mother to Frank Ivancic, Patricia and Edwin Burger, Thomas Ivancic, Robert Ivancic and Dan Dixon, and Kathryn and Darryl Drake. Ethel's legacy continued through her grandchildren, Shane Jovanen, Frank and Jacqueline Ivancic, Kevin Ivancic, Nicholas and Ruby Burger, Alexandra and Luis Castillo, Annalyse Drake, and Emerson Drake, as well as her great-grandchildren, Ari and Lumi Jovanen, Nicole and Desiree Wilkerson, and Luka Ivancic.

Ethel was the heart of her family, and her siblings, Janet Rauber and Herbert Meiser, shared in the joys and sorrows of life with her. Though she was preceded in death by her siblings Elizabeth, Edwin, Elsie, Wilma, and Alice, her memory will be cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

As a dedicated member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Ethel's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. She devoted her life to her family and her church, embodying the role of a devoted homemaker with grace and strength. Her presence within the church community was a source of inspiration and comfort to many.

Ethel's interests reflected the warmth of her personality. She found joy in traveling, discovering new places, and embracing the adventure of life. Shopping was more than a pastime; it was an opportunity to find the perfect gifts that showcased her thoughtfulness, especially at Christmas, a time she adored. Her love for her pets was yet another example of her nurturing spirit, always providing a loving home for her furry companions.

Those who knew Ethel would describe her as loving and wise-qualities that she demonstrated through her actions and guidance. Her wisdom was shared generously and her love was boundless, enveloping her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. As her family and friends reflect on her 87 years, they will find comfort in memories filled with laughter, love, and the warmth of her presence.
