Trista Darnelle Workman Lanquist, 35, of Chapmanville, WV, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
She was born May 11, 1989, at Logan, WV, the biological daughter of the late Mark Workman and Theresa Thompson. She was the adopted daughter of Mark Tomblin of Chapmanville, WV, and the late Regina "Jeanie" Tomblin.
In addition to her biological parents and her adopted mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesse Workman, Edenia Oller, Wootson Thompson, Jr., and Joan Thompson; her stepmom, Lisa Farris; one aunt, Robin Tomblin; and one sister, Charity Workman.
Trista was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was devoted to her family and cherished each moment she spent with her three sons, whom she loved very much. Her passion and love for the outdoors was evident in the joy she found in four-wheeling adventures. She also enjoyed cleaning. Trista's memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of her family, friends, and those who loved her.
In addition to her adopted father, Trista is survived by her husband, Johnathon E. Lanquist; her three sons, Braden Lanquist, Trey Lanquist, and Jase Lanquist; one brother, Mark A. Workman; one sister, Jennifer Eskins; her step-siblings, Michael Farris and Charity Farris; aunts and uncles, Darla (Shane) Stowers, Darren Thompson, Darnell (Linda) Cyfers, and Terry Tomblin. Additionally, Trista leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of cousins and extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Workman Family Cemetery at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor Jimmy Carter officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
