Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes & Crematory - RockportTrista R. Pittman, 51, of Rockport, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 30, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio.
Trista graduated from high school in Kingsville, Texas, in 1993. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership from Lamar University. On June 27, 2018, she married the love of her life, Melissa S. Pittman.
Trista dedicated her life to serving children. Whether as a coach or a special education teacher, she was a tireless advocate for students, always striving to ensure that every child felt supported, valued, and capable. Most recently, she served as a Special Education teacher at Ricardo L Trevino Junior High School at Taft ISD. She previously worked at Austwell-Tivoli ISD and Rockport-Fulton ISD. Her passion for children extended beyond the classroom, as she championed their needs both on the golf course and in everyday life.
Before cancer took over, Trista found joy in golfing, fishing, hiking, and barbecuing—activities she loved sharing with family and friends.
Trista is survived by her wife, Melissa Pittman; her children, Rebekah Leal and Zane Kaiser; her stepchildren, Madison Myers and Kent J. Myers III; and her beloved grandson, Levi Kaiser. She is also survived by her father, Michael Pittman, and stepmother, Elaine Pittman; her sisters, Toma Sinica Pittman (Lynn Pittman); and Kaitlyn Williams (Bruce Williams).
She was preceded in death by her mother, Toma Blankenship.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Trista’s life on January 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rockport Beach Saltwater Pavilion.
