Triton May of Watertown, SD passed away at the age of 20 on Sunday, March 2, 2025 in Sioux Falls, SD.
Memorial services will be 2:00pm Friday, March 7, 2025, with visitation starting at 12 noon - 2 :00pm prior to the service, at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Honorary urn bearers will be: Konner Anderson, Conner Engebretson, Zach Case, Gage Collignon, Bryce Lamp, Spencer Legg, Layson Lucas, and Carter Wiehr.
Triton Jon May was born in Watertown, SD, on May 21, 2004, to Jonathan and Stacey (Soupir) May. Triton grew up in Watertown and was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. He attended Jefferson Elementary and graduated from Watertown High School in 2022. Triton furthered his education at Mitchell Tech. in Mitchell, SD for two years, achieving an associate's degree in the Electrical Construction and Maintenance program. Upon graduating, he began working with Engelstad Electric in Watertown, where he was currently employed.
Triton loved the outdoors and had an immense joy for fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting trips with his grandfathers, uncles, and cousins. He occasionally liked playing a round of golf with friends. He enjoyed hanging with his friends at Red Gate and made a lot of connections with others through his goofiness and laughter. The lake was a special place where he enjoyed jet skiing, tubing, bonfires, and relaxing.
The highlight of Triton's days were spent with his black lab, Taz. Wherever Triton went, Taz was along for the ride, such as when he took her fishing, hunting, or running.
Left to cherish Triton's memory are his parents, Jon and Stacey May; his sister, Trinity May (Bradon Weber); his grandparents, Steve and Susan May and Gene and Linda Soupir; his aunts and uncles, Erin May, Nathan (Bobbi Jo) Soupir, Cory (Kara) Soupir and Brandon (Jen) Soupir; cousins, Brody and Jace Steffensen, Avarie Soupir and Mallory and Easton Soupir all of Watertown; and his maternal great grandmother, Lucille Hacker of Morgan, MN.
