Troy Jerome Burnette, 97, passed away at his home under the loving care of Agape Hospice on January 16, 2024.
A native of Greer, son of the late Jerry Cleveland and Mamie Hempley Burnette, he was a U.S. Army Veteran having served as PFC stationed in Camp Lee, Virginia, was a retired employee of Springs Industries formerly Lyman Printing and Finishing and was a lifelong member of Zoar Chapel. He was a charter member of Middle Tyger Ruritan Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Denise B. Lee of Greer and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Belcher Burnette, four brothers, Earl Burnette, Marshall Burnette, Lewis Burnette, and Lee Burnette, and two sisters, Velma Vaughn and Willie Mae Frady.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Pastor Michael Cheatham. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
The family is at their respective homes.
