Troy Lee Henderson, age 57, of Siloam Springs, AR, received his Heavenly reward on Thursday, September 5th, 2024, surrounded by the ones he loved most. Troy was a faithful Christian, devout husband, loving father, and a true friend. Born in Starke, FL, on March 23rd, 1967, Troy lived a life filled with tremendous adventure, never taking for granted the beauty of nature or simplicities of life.
Troy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, travel to new places, collect coins, and go mushroom hunting. He never failed to stop his car and move a turtle or snake out of the road.
Troy was a notorious dog whisperer and never met an animal he didn't like it. He spent many days lounging on the couch with his dogs.
Troy was a faithful Christian. He was a member at Springs church of Christ. Troy has received his eternal reward.
Troy married the love of his life, Charlotte Morrison Henderson in Camden, AR, on June 5th, 1990. During their 34 years of marriage, Troy and Charlotte were blessed with two children, Marsh and Cymber. Troy loved his family fiercely. They spent many nights playing games, going to the movies, and enjoying each other's company.
Troy was a perpetual student, obtaining five degrees from Florida College, Southern Arkansas University Tech, and Arkansas Tech University. He eventually found his calling as a Registered Nurse and obtained his final degree receiving a BSN at the University of Arkansas. For 17 years, Troy worked as a dedicated and compassionate nurse.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Henderson, his mother, Bonnie Henderson, his father-in-law, Larry Morrison, and his dearest friend, Joe Shadowens.
Troy is survived by his wife of 34 years, Charlotte Morrison Henderson, his son, Marsh Henderson, his daughter, Cymber Arnold, his son-in-law, Garrett Arnold, his two sisters Taryn (Marc) Parker and Dawn Henderson, his two nieces, Kirby (Ryan) Lynch, and Tori (Jeff) Kear, his mother-in-law, Pat Morrison, his sister-in-law, Sharon Morrison, his two uncles, Charles Henderson and Larry (Caroline) Arrington, his aunt, Ann Arrington, and dear friends, Gina Shadowens, Kyle (Maddie) Shadowens, and Bethany (Rusty) Brownfield.
Troy was loved by many and will be missed deeply. Although Troy has left a hole in our hearts, we know he is in eternal comfort, free from all pain.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with service to follow at 2:00 PM, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
