With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Troy Mosier, who left us on August 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease, at his home in Bells, Tennessee. Born on January 3, 1947, Troy lived a life filled with dedication, love, and resilience.
Troy was an exceptional concrete finisher, dedicating his working career to crafting beautiful projects alongside Joe Riggsbee, and later contributed his skills to the Crockett Co. Highway Department. His strong work ethic reflected his commitment to excellence and his substantial contribution to the communities he served.
A true Christian family man, Troy cherished every moment spent with loved ones, especially during summers camping and creating lifelong memories. His heart was generous, as he regularly visited friends and family in nursing homes, spreading joy and comfort wherever he went. He found pleasure in the simple joys of life, including his fondness for collecting Case knives. His passions were wide-ranging, but none could compare to the love he had for his family.
Troy is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Patsy Ann "Pat" Parker Mosier. He is also survived by his sons, Lannie Mosier (Brandi) and Scottie Mosier (Angel), all of Alamo, TN, and his daughter, Kim Avery of Trenton, TN. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Jimmy Mosier (Barbara) of Alamo, TN, and his two sisters, Christine (Raymond) and Mary Jane Skelton. The light of his life also included six grandchildren—Parker, Madison, Kyleigh, Morgan, Brynlee, and Alex—and four great-grandchildren—Travis, Tatum, Charli, and Kamari. His faithful fur companion, Boone, will also miss his presence dearly.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Albert Mosier; mother, Pauline Cowan Mosier; son, Brandon Crutchfield; two brothers, Tommy (Evonne) and Johnny (Pat) Mosier; and sister, Joann Mosier. Through all of life's trials and tribulations, Troy remained a steadfast member of Liberty Hall Church of Gadsden, TN, a testament to his unwavering faith and commitment to his community.
Troy Mosier touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and kindness. His memory will continue to inspire and bring solace to all who had the privilege of knowing him. The world is a little dimmer without him, but those who were blessed to see his smile and feel his warmth will carry him in their hearts forever.
A visitation will be held on September 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Liberty Hall Church, located at 532 Plomar Williams Road, Gadsden, TN. This will be followed by a memorial service, officiated by Minister Gary McDonald with Special Speaker Mr.. Dwight Arnold from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, where friends and family can come together to celebrate and honor Troy's remarkable life.
