Troy Sylvester Rush was born October 26, 1949 in Lilborn, MO and he passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 74.
He was the son of Harry Lon Rush and Nettie Lavergne Cheshire Rush. He was a tool and die machinist and a Veteran of the US Army. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears. On February 26, 1987, he was married to Nadine Ann Rozak for a total of 36 years of marriage. He worked at Brookwood Apartments as the maintenance man for 12 years.
Mr. Rush was preceded in death by his parents and several cousins.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Ann Rush of Gainesboro; sons, Troy Rush of Gainesboro, Eric Buchignani of Homer Glen, IL and Van Zabojnik of Yelm, WA; daughter, Jeanifer Rugg of West Chicago, IL; brother, Jerry Clifton Rush of Poplar Bluff, MO; sister, Leshia Murphy of Poplar Bluff, MO; 11 grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11am in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Visitation will on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9 am to 11 am at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by contacting the funeral home.
