Troy Orville Shegrud 77, died October 25, 2025 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, on November 2nd at 2 pm at the Faith Hill Assembly of God Church in Bagley, MN. Internment will be at Minvera Cemetery.
He was born July 21, 1948 to Dudley and Norma (Branstner) in Bagley, MN.
He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Rice Lutheran Church in Zerkel, MN in 1960. He graduated from Bagley High School in 1966. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Susan Joyce Kvande on November 26, 1966. And together they had four children. They later divorced. He married Roberta Bleth in 1995 and moved to North Dakota. They later divorced.
He served in the National Guard from 1966 until 1970 and was honorably discharged. He worked in the woods and performed various jobs until starting for Highway Services from Rogers, MN for many years as a crew superintendent. Troy was an avid sportsman who enjoyed deer hunting, playing his guitar and singing. Trapping with his Grandpa John and Uncle Carl was another favorite past time. He also enjoyed tinkering on old cars and creating his own inventions. In the later years he enjoyed scrapping. He enjoyed giving rides to those in need and driving the country roads ("Together Lets Drive")! He loved everything Chevrolet.
Survived by children Leisa (Brian) Jablonski, Kimberly (Wayde) Crist, Patricia (Kevin) Mathison and Jeremiah (Sarah) Shegrud, Farrah (Chris) Gietzen, Former wife, Bobbi Shegrud, Sister DeeAnn Jessee, Brother Owen (Connie) Shegrud, Brother in law, Gerald (Doreen) Smith. Grand children, Jacob (Alicia) Crist, Stephanie (Todd) Lewis, Zachary (Jasmine) Crist, Amanda (Adam) Harmon, Cassandra (Ryan) Hoberg, Seth Mathison, Madison Stricker, Colton Shegrud, Olivia Shegrud, Tatum and Everleigh Gietzen 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Shegrud, parents, Dudley and Norma Shegrud, grandparents, John and Hazel Branstner, Allen and Ruby Shegrud, Sister, Doreen Smith, Brother-in-law, Stanley Syverson, Brother Mitchell Shegrud, sister-in-law Carol Shegrud, nephews Kelly Smith and Miles Shegrud.
