Troy Sinquefield Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home on Jan. 6, 2026.
Troy L. Sinquefield, age 50, passed away on January 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by hard work, dedication, devotion, laughter, trust, compassion, kindness, and above all love.
Troy was truly his father's son. He shared a close and loving bond with his parents and held a deep, unwavering love for his family. A natural jokester, Troy lived for laughter and took genuine joy in making others smile. He was someone you loved instantly. Easygoing by nature and the kind of man who never met a stranger. Wherever Troy went, friendships followed.
He loved the outdoors and sports of all kinds, but his passion for his horses held a special place in his heart. Troy often said that his dad laid the foundation for the man he became, and in return, Troy was proud to lay that same foundation for his own son. A simple line from a Father's Day card became the guiding principle of his life as a father: "Behind every great son is a great dad." Troy lived those words daily and never missed a chance to remind both his father and his son just how much he loved them.
Troy dearly loved his wife, and together they shared a bond like no other, one built on understanding, respect, and deep affection. Often, words weren't even necessary; a simple high five in the hallway could speak a million unspoken sentiments.
Shortly before his passing, Troy received the happiest news of all, he had been promoted from Dad to "Tappy." With that joy in his heart, Troy now watches over his grandbaby as a guardian angel, loving from beyond what we can see.
Though his time here was far too short, Troy's laughter, love, and example will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
Troy is survived by his loving father and mother; Noble and Carolyn Sinquefield, his devoted wife; Janell Murphy Sinquefield, one son; Christopher (Gabby) Murphy, one grandchild; Baby Murphy, two brothers; Gary and Ken Longmire, two sisters; Teresa (Rodger) Ross and Tara Lewis, and a host of many other family and friends.
