Outside of his professional life, Troy had a fervent love for the outdoors, spending countless hours engaged in his favorite pastimes of hunting and fishing. These activities allowed him to connect with nature and share cherished moments with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving mother, Shirley Jo Burke Parr, and his brother, Lawrence Benjamin "Benji" (Amy) Ward. Troy was also a devoted father to his sons, William "Will" Benjamin Ward, Troy "Gavin" Ward, and Caleb Adam Ward.
