Troy Ray Williams, 86, of Levelland passed from this life on December 31, 2022. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm; and Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
He was born September 5, 1936, the eldest of five children, to Ebb and Anna Lee Williams in the middle of a cotton field outside of Estelline, Texas. Troy was a master certified heavy equipment operator and instructor. He was an employee of the Texas State Highway Department for 27 years.
Troy was a musician and loved singing and dancing. He enjoyed working outside in his yard and even maintained his country road with his personal tractor well into his 80s. Troy enjoyed camping and traveling in his motor home, wood working and visiting with his neighbors and friends.
He was a jack of all trades. Troy will be deeply missed by his family.
Troy was preceded in death by his first love of 54 years, Betty Jo Williams; father, Ebb Williams; mother, Anna Lee Collins; son, Charles Ray Williams; and brother-in-law, Rodney Jones.
He is survived by his spouse, Oleta Williams; daughter, Teresa Williams and spouse Butch Beverly; sons, Troy Wayne and Dona Williams, Terry Lee Williams and Donny Joe Williams; step-son, Bobby and Vicki Carpenter; step-daughter, Sherry and Randy Beene; brothers, Gene and Dianna Williams and Jerry and Jeanne Williams; sisters, Patricia and JB Sanderson and Janie Jones; grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Brittany Stidham, Chastine Gray, JT Williams, Chase Williams, LaTisha Sheets, Tasha Yarbrough, Mekala Poirier, Taryn Painter, Torrey Gray, Matosha Voges, Keylan Williams and Cayde Williams; 18 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Troy’s memory to Legacy of Love Hospice or Beehive Assisted Living Facility.
