With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Trudy Ann Newton, 69, who passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025 at the Hospice House in Auburn with family by her side. She was born on August 13,1956 in Norway, Maine the daughter of Erlon and Nellie (Rowe) Pike. She graduated from OHHS in 1974. She married Richard Newton in 1975 and was a resident of Oxford all her life. She had two children, Kari Laird & Kevin Newton, along with 5 grandchildren. Isbabella, Sawyer, Karson, Maggie and Waylon. Being a grandmother was her favorite thing to be. She cherished every moment with them.
Trudy was a homemaker of a loving husband of 50 years and her twins.
Trudy enjoyed spending time playing softball with her siblings, and neighborhood kids, time at the ocean with family, picnics on the water, or special family gatherings.
Trudy loved going out to eat with her mother & sisters, and being involved in planning holiday/birthday parties for the elders. Her last 9 years were spent living at Market Square Healthcare Facility with a longterm disease where her husband visited daily until the day he passed away.
Trudy leaves behind her two children, grandchildren, her brothers Alvin and Donnie Pike and wife Donna of Oxford, her sisters Julie Bickford of Norway and her husband Neil, and Laurie Pike of Wilton, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Richard, her two babies, Stacie Marie and baby boy Newton, her siblings, Faith and Sharon, Keith and Randy.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Market Square for all their love and support for Trudy and Andwell Hospice during her last days.
A celebration of life will be held for Trudy and Richard Newton on November 7, 2025 at the VFW Post 9787 58 E. Main St. South Paris, ME from 4pm-6pm.
Arrangements are under the care of Albert & Burpee Funeral Home & Cremation Services 253 Pine St. Lewiston, 782-7201. Condolences and fond memories may be shared here on Trudy's memorial page.
