Truman F. Frank Davenport, a man of exceptional skill and boundless love, passed away peacefully at his home on December 13, 2024,  at 79.  Born on December 6, 1945, in Fayette Co., GA, Frank was a beacon of ingenuity and dedication.

Frank is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Carol L. Davenport who stood by his side as a partner in his life journey.  He was a loving father and friend to his son Steve Davenport and Daughters Elaine McCullough, Lesley Thomason, and Malinda Varnum, and son-in-law Jerry McCullough and Billy Joe Varnum.

Frank was a cherished brother to his two surviving siblings out of the nine he grew up with.  His legacy continues through his twelve grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren who will carry the values he instilled in them.

He was deceased by one grandson and one great-granddaughter whose memories remain a treasured part of the family's history.  Frank was a self-made man with a diverse range of talents as a skilled mechanic and a masterful builder.  There was truly nothing beyond his capability.  His professional life was a testament to his belief in hand work and perseverance and he was respected by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.  Frank was a man of many interests.  His passion for mechanics extended to a love for racing.  A hobby that brought him great joy.  He loved to spend time in his shop doing woodwork and going to jockey lots and yard sales.

Frank's life will be honored in a private ceremony surrounded by those who loved him most.  His influence and the memories he created will forever be a part of the fabric of our lives.  We take comfort in knowing that Frank's legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, just as he did in life.
