Turner Wayne Simpkins, age 5, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023. Turner was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 18, 2018, to Austin Simpkins and Sierra Ford. He was full of life, a huge Daddy's boy and always babied by everyone. He loved Batman, Catboy, Sonic and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Bonnie Ferrell; great grandfathers, Rodney Bellamy and Rodger Simpkins; grandfather Owen Balthrop. He is survived by his father, Austin Simpkins (Shannon Elliott); mother Sierra Ford; brother, Maverick Simpkins; step-brother, Carson Mullins and baby brother on the way; grandparents, Stephanie Balthrop (Chris Smith), Cristi Ford and Allicia Elliot, Keith Simpkins (Valerie); great grandparents Eddie Ferrell, Kay Ringer (David), Marilyn Bellamy and Dorothy Elliott; uncles, Nathan Simpkins (Brandy King) Devin Elliot and Daniel Elliott; aunts, Sydney Ford, Bethany Elliott and Kayla Elliott; cousins, Meyer Simpkins and Adalynn Elliott; and best friend, Billy Presley. A celebration of life will be July 29, 2023, at 4pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Danny Demonbreun officiating. Visitation for Turner will be Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 2pm until the hour of service at 4pm. Cheatham County Funeral Home 615-792-2552 online condolences at cheathamcountyfh.com

My condolences to Turner's family and friends. May the memories of him last a lifetime. I met him one Thanksgiving evening when we had lots of kids running all around the kitchen. We enjoyed the night full of kids laughing, Turner will be missed.
