Ty Rodney Lacy, age 63, of New Lothrop, Michigan, passed away on December 26, 2025, at Memorial Healthcare Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on July 21, 1962, in Flint, Michigan, to Bill and Gladys (Eastman) Lacy.
Ty graduated from New Lothrop High School in 1981 and spent his working life in construction, owning and operating Lacy Drywall, which he started in 1997. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his family.
On November 27, 1982, Ty married his high school sweetheart, Debbie (Renner) Lacy, at St. Michael's Catholic Church. They recently celebrated 43 years of marriage and built a life centered on love, family, and loyalty.
Ty was an outdoorsman at heart. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially in Arenac County. During his younger years he enjoyed spending time at Wixom Lake, he eventually got his own place in Gladwin that he would take his family in the summers. He loved pontoon boating, ATVs, animals, and growing his own pumpkin patch. A lifelong Detroit Lions fan, Ty also enjoyed watching sports and proudly supported his children and grandchildren in all their activities.
Above all else, Ty loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and was always there for them.
Ty is survived by his wife, Debbie Lacy; his son, Ty (Jennifer) Lacy Jr.; his daughter, Amanda (Alex) Bellinger; his grandchildren, Addison, Ashlyn, Blake, and Bryce; his mother, Gladys Hicks; his sisters, Dawn (Barry Kline) Denno and Melia Lambert; his mother-in-law, Dolores Renner; his brother-in-law, Chuck (Kim) Renner; his sister-in-law, Tammy (Greg) Skodinski; his brother-in-law, Tim (Tammie) Renner; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Lacy; his stepfather, Buford Hicks; his father-in-law, Charles Renner; his brother-in-law, Blake Lambert; and his nephew, Jason Lambert.
