Vivian Mary Birchmeier

Vivian Mary Birchmeier, age 84 of New Lothrop, Michigan, died on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at University of Michigan Health - Sparrow.
Vivian was born on June 9, 1941 to Joseph and Anna (Vitovski) Sumbera in Owosso, Michigan. She graduated from New Lothrop High School with the class of 1959. Vivian married the love of her life, Frank Birchmeier, on May 12, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso, Michigan. They shared 63 years of marriage together this year.
During her life, Vivian enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and word search puzzles. She also loved to thrift shop and travel to the Czech Republic to visit her family. Spending time with her grandchildren, especially at their ball games, was one of her favorite things to do. She will be fondly remembered by her "Gift of Gab" and her smile according to her family and friends. She could talk to anyone and make them feel welcome.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Frank; children, Lynette (Jerry) Kozlowski, Genise (Todd) Ostrowski, Steve (Dawn) Birchmeier, Becky (Jim) Heroux; grandchildren, Adam, Karrah, Erik, Jacob, Makaila, Blake, Morgan, Brianna, Mallory and Raegan.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Brian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at St. Robert's Catholic Church in Flushing. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Memorial contributions in Vivian's name may be made to Ronald McDonald House or to St. Robert's Catholic Church.
