Tyler Mitchell Ashcraft

Tyler M. Ashcraft, passed away at the age of 26. Tyler's journey began in Bellingham, where he grew up attending Christ the King Bellingham Church and Meridian Schools, laying the foundations for a life filled with warmth, passion and love.
Tyler found his calling as a small engines and heavy machinery mechanic, a profession that mirrored his hands on approach to life. His skill in fixing things extended far beyond machines to the hearts of those around him.
His loved ones will forever cherish the memories of accompanying him to races, sharing laughter while watching The Golden Girls with Grandma and indulging in the sentimental world of Hallmark movies. Tyler had a unique ability to make a connection with anyone, especially a love for the elderly whether they were strangers or family, defined him.
Tyler had a lot of favorite things to do, this list is just the tip of the iceberg. Going on long drives in his Mustang while driving fast and listening to his engine roar and listening to 80s Rock & Roll. Going for walks with a friend and hot coffee from Woods. Summer swimming and sunbathing at the lake, mini road trips wherever that road took him and friends. He loved gaming, cooking gourmet meals for anyone, muscle cars, and working with heavy equipment. Tyler liked baseball, hockey, playing catch with Brandon and quality time with friends like Abel were the recent fun times in his life.
Described as energetic, always smiling and ever ready to goof off and laugh, Tyler was always loyal and supportive of his friends and family and would stand up for anyone to defend them. He was known for his willingness to go the extra mile and picking up the slack wherever needed. Cooking for people was one of his many expressions of affections and his generosity extended to giving his time and understanding to those feeling helpless or in need.
Tyler leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. No matter the circumstances he never hesitated to leave his family with a hug and "I love you". He could start up a conversation with complete strangers and leave them as new friends.
Tyler is survived by his loving mother, Joann Ougland, his father John Ashcraft, stepmother Mary Jo, brothers Levi (Brooke) and Weston (Molly) Ashcraft, and nieces and nephews Blakely, Bodie, Jace, and Lily. He is also survived by his aunt "Tanta" Jean and uncle Todd.
Tyler is also preceded in death by his grandpa Arland Larsen, grandma Alice Larsen and stepdad Eric Ougland.
