Tyler Hayes Harter, 25, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025.

Born on May 13, 2000, in Georgetown, he was a son of Kellie Ward Harter and the late Marion Glenn Harter. Tyler lived life to the fullest and had a passion for hunting and fishing, a passion that was matched by his love for drag racing. He worked as an iron worker and was devoted to his family. Tyler cherished moments spent with his family and his friends were an extension of his family.

Tyler will be remembered for his warm smile that could light up a room, his loving heart that touch many lives and his beautiful blue eyes. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories.

Survivors include his mother, Kellie Ward Harter of Georgetown; maternal grandfather, Roger Dale Ward; maternal great grandmother, Roberta Benton; two brothers, Chandler Harter and Spencer Harter (Haley); a half-brother, Kevin Harter (Dixie Wise); a half-sister, Glenda Harter (Edward Thompson); two nieces, Ashley Lambert (Bobby Howard, Jr.) and Kinsley Harter; three nephews, Holden Harter, Gavin Harter and Kayson Harter; one great niece, Knoxley Harter; two great nephews, Brayton Howard and Hayes Harter; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Glenn Harter; maternal grandmother, Nancy Ann Ward; paternal grandparents, Marion Alford Harter and Christine Kiker Harter; and stepfather, William “Billy” Whitnauer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon Friday, June 6, 2025, at Victory Christian Fellowship.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
