Tyler Robideau
Rutland Town- Tyler Robideau, 22, of Rutland Town, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the Rutland Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Rutland, on May 18, 2001, the son of Craig and Cathleen (Clawson) Robideau. He attended school in Rutland Town and graduated from the Forestry Program at Stafford Technical Center and Rutland High School in 2019.
While in high school, he was a junior firefighter on Rutland Town Fire Department.. During high school he completed the EMT-B course and and as a junior member he joined the Brandon Area Rescue Squad..
Tyler joined the United States Army in March 2020 as a 68W combat medic. His most memorable duty station was at Camp Casey in South Korea where he learned and thrived with his medical career. He earned multiple medals during his enlistment prior to his honorable discharge.
Tyler was eager to be a front-line responder, he thrived on the ability to react quickly and help. He lived life to the fullest.
He loved to learn and to share his knowledge, and was continually advancing his EMT training and most recently achieved his Advanced EMT certification. He continued his work at Royalton Rescue and Brandon Area Rescue Squads.
Tylers love of the outdoors was fostered by many Scouting mentors, Tyler was a Life Scout and had earned the honor from his peers to be a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow.. Tyler was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and lived by the rule, if you kill an animal you eat it, there was no wasting of life..
When Tyler wasn't saving lives you could find him on his Harley Davidson Street Bob enjoying rides with and without destinations.
He is survived by his mother of Rutland Town, his father of Rutland City, and his sister Alicia of Rutland Town.
A celebration of life will be held from 1pm until 5pm on Sunday February 11, 2024 at the West Rutland American Legion.
Burial will take place in the Vermont Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Randolph in the spring, details will follow on his burial when available.
