Tyler Jacob Schons, was born on March 26th, 1990 to Larry and Debbie (Fritz) Schons in Woodstock, Minnesota. Early on in Tyler’s life he had a heart condition that required open heart surgery at the age of six. Tyler was fast to recover just as he enjoyed going fast riding skateboards or driving cars around the square of Pipestone with friends. Tyler attended Pipestone Area Schools in Pipestone, Minnesota and Edgerton Public Schools in Edgerton, Minnesota. During his school years Tyler met Elsie Coyl and together they had a daughter, Kayln Schons (16). While focusing on raising his daughter in Pipestone and working at Suzlon, Tyler later attained his GED in 2007. In 2009, Tyler and his best friend Tyler Rohrs moved to Sanborn, Iowa to pursue a career in drain tiling. In Sanborn, Tyler enjoyed gathering with friends around bonfires and tinkering with anything especially helping wire sound systems in cars so he and his friends could enjoy window rattling music together. In 2012, Tyler met Kaitlin Van Dyke and together they had three children, Tucker Schons (9), Aria Schons (6), and Haislee Schons (2). Tyler took a more stable job in Cheese Manufacturing with AMPI to help provide for his children, he held this job for several years before changing to a job with Maintainer in Sheldon, Iowa that allowed him do his passion for “tinkering,” installing wiring for trucks. Tyler loved four-wheeling with friends any chance he could and in 2019, he was able to purchase his first four-wheeler. Later he met Cheyenne Chindlund and they moved to Ashton, Iowa together.
On November 13th, 2023, Tyler died unexpectedly at his home in Ashton.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Larry and Debbie Schons of Woodstock, Minnesota; his children, Kayln Schons, Tucker Schons, Aria Schons, Haislee Schons; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Delbert and Lois (Kruen) Fritz of Pipestone, Minnesota; and paternal grandparents, Herbert and Alta (Holm) Schons of Pipestone, Minnesota.
