With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Ulpiana Quiatchon Lat, aged 58, of City of Sambat, Tanauan who left this world on Sunday, October 6, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Ulpiana was a cherished wife, mother, friend, teacher, and a treasured member of the community whose kindness, warmth, and generosity touched many lives.
Born on April 3rd, 1966, in the Philippines, Ulpiana Quiatchon Lat was the beloved child of Vidal Quiatchon and Juliana Quiatchon. Raised in the City of Sambat, Tanauan, she exhibited courage, trustworthiness, honesty, integrity, respect, and courtesy from an early age. Ulpiana went on to pursue higher education at Tanauan Institute earning a degree in Education, which laid the foundation for a successful career in teaching.
In 1995, Ulpiana Quiatchon Lat married the love of her life, Virigilio Dimaano Lat, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and shared dreams. Their marriage of 29 years was a testament to Ulpiana's unwavering devotion and commitment. They were blessed with two children: Gaea Nadine Quiatchon Lat and Dann Limuel Quiatchon Lat, who were the center of her world. Ulpiana took immense pride in being a mother, always leading by example with compassion, strength, and selflessness.
Throughout her life, Ulpiana was known for having a kind heart, sense of humor, and generosity. Friends, family, and colleagues alike will remember her as a person who "who was a source of wisdom and comfort". She was passionate about teaching, dedicating time to educating her students. Whether it was singing, dancing, cooking elaborate meals, or her involvement in her religious organizations, Ulpiana believed in living a life of purpose and service to others.
In her professional life, Ulpiana found fulfillment in teaching, working as a teacher for 35 years at different locations, whether it would be in the Philippines or in the United States of America. She was highly respected by colleagues for her work ethic, integrity, and dedication.
Outside of her professional life, Ulpiana was a devoted friend, partner, parent, and sibling. She shared her love with family and friends, creating countless cherished memories. Memorable personal anecdotes or stories will continue to remind those who knew Ulpiana of the joy and laughter she brought to their lives.
Ulpiana is survived by Virgilio Dimaano Lat, husband, Gaea Nadine Quiatchon Lat, daughter, and Dann Limuel Quiatchon Lat, son, Aniana Pamplona, sister, Felix Quiachon, brother, Edilberto Quiatchon, brother, Fidel Quiatchon, brother, Bencia Gutierrez, sister, Juanito Quiatchon, brother, Emma Garcia, sister, Nila Lajara, sister, all of whom carry her legacy forward with love and gratitude. She was predeceased by Vidal Quiatchon and Juliana Quiatchon, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
A visitation in celebration of Ulpiana's life will take place on October 18, 2024 at Davis Funeral Homes, 6200 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119 at 12 pm PDT, followed by funeral service at 2pm PDT and interment at 3 pm PDT. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in the stories, memories, and joy that Ulpiana brought to the world. For those unable to attend, the service will be available online via Livestream.
While our hearts are broken, we take solace in knowing that Ulpiana's life was lived with love, kindness, and purpose. She will forever be remembered and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
