Born on March 11, 1929, in Hamburg, Germany, Ursula lived a life marked by adventure, kindness, and a radiant spirit that touched everyone she met. Together with her beloved husband, Alfred, Ursula traveled and lived across the world before retiring to Sarasota, Florida. An avid traveler, Ursula achieved the extraordinary feat of visiting both the North and South Poles and stepping foot on all seven continents. While living in Africa, she developed a love for painting. She practiced yoga, swam daily and walked every day. Later in life, she made Waynesville her home, where she continued to embrace life with boundless energy.
Ursula was predeceased by Alfred, her husband of 51 years. Survivors include her son, Michael, daughter, Barbara, 2 granddaughters, sister Elke and brother Guenter.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Ursula on Sunday, November 23rd, from 3- 5 pm at Barbara's residence. Please call Barbara for further details.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Food Pantry at Grace Episcopal Church, 394 N Haywood St., Waynesville, NC. Drop off nonperishable food items M-F 10-11am or Four Seasons Hospice at 211 N. Main St., Hendersonville, NC 28792
