V. Kassu Obituary

V. Gail Kassu

Born: October 23, 1943 | Died: February 4, 2026

Gail Kassu, age 82 (AKA) "The Woman", "Miss Gail", "My Girl" took her last breath and passed onto the other side due to complications from C.O.P.D. She was born in Vicksburg, Miss. on October 23, 1943, she was a true "Southern Belle". She had a huge heart of love for her family. She led a full life and filled her bucket list from owning "Tibor & Gail's General Store", newspaper photographer and Chamber of Commerce President in Salamanca, NY. A member of Orlando, Florida Highway Patrol Auxillary to being a movie dressed extra in "The Natural", "Separate but Equal", "Superboy" series and Swamp Thing series.

She is survived by her husband, Tibor of 54 years; son, Randy Kassu, his wife Hazel and two grandchildren, Heather and Jason of Texas; sister-in-law, Kathy McKean (the Hugi) and her daughters, Michelle (Sissy) and Kathleen (Peebles) of Ohio; sister, Faye and her sons Brian and Todd of Florida and Scott of Ohio.

In the last few years she loved doing her coloring books, amazingly beautiful paint by numbers (over 100) and lately enjoying jigsaw puzzles with Tibor.

She would like to thank her friends, Mary Ellen of NY State, Bill and Teresa and Judy of Maryville, Charlene of Texas. Mary, Robbie and Roger of Knoxville for being her very best friends – she loves them all.

Her only regret in life was losing her two sons, Tony and Shane.

The family will have a Memorial Service at a later date.

And now its time for you to SOAR Woman and do your "next thing."

Love ya Forever,

Tibor
