Vaitiare "Vaitie" Maria Piotti
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vaitiare "Vaitie" Maria Piotti, just 33 years young, a woman whose beautiful soul and radiant light touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on September 2, 1991, in Jersey City, NJ, Vaitie was the oldest of two children and the cherished daughter of Ivellisse Piotti and the late Paul Anthony Piotti Sr. Her presence was magnetic, her laughter infectious, and her beauty, both inside and out, unforgettable. Her stunning, soulful eyes captured the warmth and kindness of her spirit, and they reflected the depth of her compassion for others. She was absolutely gorgeous-not only in appearance but in the way she carried herself and the kindness she showed to everyone she met.
Everyone loved her!
Family was at the center of Vaitie's life. She adored her mother, Ivellisse, and her brother, Paul, with unwavering love. She always had her brother's back, no matter what. She held her nephews, Sebastian and Kameron, and her niece, Bella, close to her heart, finding endless joy in being their aunt and watching them grow. Vaitie spoke to her cousin Jasmine every day, always taking time to catch up and connect. She loved family sleepovers as a child and treasured the family parties, where laughter and joy flowed freely. She always greeted you with a warm, "Hey girl," making everyone feel loved and special. As a child, she cherished trips to Cheesequake Park with her family, creating lasting memories of fun and togetherness. Her bond with her cousins was unmatched-a connection filled with laughter, cherished memories, and a love that only grew stronger over time. As one of seven grandchildren of Maria Ocasio, Vaitie was a vital thread in the fabric of her family, weaving everyone together with her generosity, spirit, and light.
Vaitie's heart was so big. She could feel the pain of others deeply, often crying as though she herself was the one suffering. Her empathy and compassion for others were boundless, and she gave so much of herself to those she loved.
Vaitie amazed her teachers with her broad knowledge of different genres of music, thanks to the diverse musical influences her parents played for her throughout her youth.
Vaitie's brilliance shone through in every aspect of her life. In 2018, she graduated from Hudson County Community College with a degree in Culinary Arts and began her career working alongside a Michelin-star chef in New York City. In 2019, she launched her private chef business, offering at-home cooking lessons, meal prep, and catering services, sharing her culinary artistry with others. By 2020, she had turned her creativity to jewelry design, founding "Heart2Ears," where she crafted beautiful, custom earrings and jewelry that reflected her vibrant personality and boundless creativity.
Her Titi Judy fondly remembers that Vaitie always started a conversation with "not for nothing," a phrase that added to her unique charm and warmth.
Vaitie's life was brilliant. She was brilliant. Her heart of gold, magnetic presence, and loving spirit will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her loving mother, Ivellisse Piotti; her brother, Paul Anthony Piotti Jr.; her nephews, Sebastian and Kameron; her niece, Bella; her Abuela Mima, Maria Ocasio; her aunts, uncles, six cousins, and friends whose lives she always enriched with her love and laughter. She was predeceased by her father, Paul Anthony Piotti Sr.
Vaitie's light, kindness, and love will forever shine in our hearts, a guiding beacon of all that is beautiful and good in this world.
