After a life of love and learning, Valerie Baker Easley died April 30, 2024, following a short episode with cancer, with family and loved ones surrounding her.
Her life's passions were ongoing spiritual learning and expressing the deep wonderment that inhabits the world around us. "Find every reason to see the good" was an ongoing inspiration for her family.
Her career spanned roles in healthcare administration, nonprofit management and technology marketing.
She loved hiking and photographing the river trails of Northern Colorado and the surrounding mountains. Traveling the world with her family, and especially sharing the spirit of being a world citizen with her daughter Shana, was a lifelong delight.
In retirement, she found a new calling as an End of Life Doula, companioning others into peace and trust during the final chapter of their lives. To dispel fear of what comes next after death and to help clients find contentment in the fullness of a life lived was an immensely rewarding conclusion to this life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If interested in attending please contact Shana Easley at [email protected] for more details.
Donations in honor of Valerie can be made to her doula collaborative, Colorado End of Life Collaborative at: https://coeolcollaborative.org/; to End of Life Options Colorado at: https://endoflifeoptionscolorado.org/, and to The Wildlife Animal Sanctuary at: https://www.wildanimalsanctuary.org/

I met Val 5 years ago in Punta Monterey, Mexico on a shamanic retreat. My fondest first memory of her was on our whale watching boat. We saw SO MANY whales that day breaching and flapping, a mother and her cub that came right up to the boat! The captain and crew even said, that they had never seen so many whales in one day, ever. That our energy as a group must have brought them! Val was, is, that embodiment of spiritual energy. Brought magic to her and other´s life in so many ways.
