Valerie Lucille Horsechief, 62, joined her Heavenly Father's Kingdom on October 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Her Crow name was Baanish Chiiwaachaachiish, which means Good Beader. She was a Ties the Bundle Clan and a Piegan child. She was born on September 27, 1963, in Billings, MT, to Lawrence "Sonny" Old Bull Sr. and Bertha Gardner.
Valerie grew up in Lodge Grass, MT, with her family, and attended Intermountain Indian High School. In 1982, she began her journey as a mother when she had her eldest son, Joseph, whom she lovingly nicknamed "JoJo".
Valerie met her husband, Vincent Horsechief, in Oklahoma and again in Lodge Grass, MT, at a Camp Meeting where they fell in love. They were married in Wyoming on August 28, 1989. Together, they started Victory Ministries and traveled around the Native Nations spreading the gospel, preaching the Word of God. Valerie was a dedicated Minister, a fireball preacher; her sermons ignited flames of inspiration through songs and preaching that touched many hearts.
Valerie was blessed with her son Micah in 1998. She celebrated every moment she spent with him. She was blessed again with her son, Ivory, on her birthday in 2000. She was very proud of his contributions to the ministry and his decision to follow Jesus and shadow in his father Vince's footsteps as a guitar player.
Valerie was a virtuous wife, proud mother, loving grandmother, and a Mighty Woman of God. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
