Valia Calloni passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 6, 2023 after a brief hospital stay. She will be forever loved and always missed. Born in San Francisco, Valia was a positive and outgoing woman of 100 years who shared 68 years of loving marriage with her husband, Aldo. She was so very proud of her family, grateful for the fulfilling life she led and always celebrated her rich Italian heritage. Through her years, Val had many hobbies including square dancing and golfing. Val loved hosting or attending big holiday gatherings and parties with family and friends. Later in life, she was always busy, never passing up a chance to play a game of Hand and Foot, Pedro, Rummy Cubes or Bingo or joining up with her Chateau friends for local excursions. Sadly, Val's sister of 98 years, Norma Lombardi, preceeded her passing by 9 days. Val is survived by her son Donald Calloni, daughter Linda Adkins (Rick), grandchildren Michelle Poole (Mike), Michael Calloni, Matthew Adkins, Gina Michaud (Doug), Corrine Adkins, great-grandchildren Bobby, Angelina, Katie, Maya, Dylan, Emma, William, sister-in-law Gloria Pardini and many devoted nieces and nephews. Catholic funeral mass will be Friday 2/17, 10:00 AM, Church of the Ascension, 12033 Miller Ave (corner of Prospect and Miller), Saratoga. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital (stjude.org).
