ValiAnna Rose Ramon, affectionately known as Val to those who knew her best, embarked on her final journey on July 27, 2025, in the same city where she first greeted the world,
Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on January 27, 2005, Val's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and a spirit that could only be described as indomitable.
Val was a beacon of light in the lives she touched, including her beloved daughter, Jalayah Rose Perez, who was the apple of her eye. Her role as a full-time mommy was one she cherished above all, and her love for Jalayah was as vast as the ocean she adored. Val's mother, Stephanie Marie Ramon, stood by her as pillars of support and love.
In her family constellation, Val was among the brightest stars. She was the loving big sister to Rafael Treviño Ramon, or 'brubs' as she endearingly called him her 'babyboi'. Her grandparents, Bigmom Anna Rose Garza and Edward Garza, along with Gpa John Hubner and Gma Sara Brown, provided her with roots and wings. Val's tapestry of life was rich with color thanks to her aunt Sandy Elida Treviño, Uncle Victor Pena, cousin Nina Mila Peña, affectionately known as 'beaner', uncles Ricky Treviño and Ralph Treviño ('tiopopo'), and aunts Maggie Reyes (Magoo) and Desiree Reyes (bagrapes). Her cousin Matilda Suarez (M&M), aunts Emily McGraw & Erika Vela (Lashes), daughter's father Chris Perez, best friend Angel Cerda, and niece Roseann Cerda and numerous of cousin's who also added unique threads to her life's fabric.
Val's spiritual nature was as much a part of her as her infectious laughter. She found solace in the spiritual realm, often sharing her light-hearted views on life's mysteries with a twinkle in her eye. Her interests were as varied as her loved ones, from her passion for swimming to her joy in cooking and baking, which often resulted in kitchen experiments that were as much comedy as they were culinary. She found peace in journaling and solace in music, which she believed was the soundtrack to her soul's journey.
Described as loving, kind, and courageous, Val's ability to find humor in the everyday was one of her most endearing qualities. She lived by the words of the beloved comedian Robin Williams, who once said, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Val certainly never lost her spark, and that madness was the magic that made her uniquely magnificent.
Her departure from this world leaves behind a legacy of laughter and the warmth of her kind spirit. ValiAnna Rose Ramon may have left the physical world, but her luminous presence will forever dance in the waves of the ocean, in the laughter of her daughter, and in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of sharing in her journey. As we bid farewell to Val, let us carry forward her courage, her love, and, most importantly, her ability to find joy in the simplicity of life.
