Valorie Lynn Amerson 61 of Centerton passed away surrounded by her family in her home on August 3, 2025. She was born June 19, 1964, in Bentonville, Arkansas the daughter of Elmon L. "Bud" Ausmus, Sr. and Amelia Graves Ausmus. Valorie retired after 37 years working for Walmart at Warehouse 6008 in traffic and asset protection and the ROC in the Logistics Department
Valorie enjoyed spending time with friends and family, spoiling her grandchildren along with daughter and son-in-law (especially at Christmas), also collecting Fenton and hand painted nesting dolls.
She graduated from Bentonville High School Class of 1982. Preceded in death by her parents Elmon and Amelia Ausmus, her niece Kaylah Ausmus, and her brother in law Dave Musteen.
Survived by her daughter Hannah Amerson and husband Clayton Whelan, her siblings Elmon Ausmus Jr and wife Pam, Phillip Ausmus and wife Sarah, and Lisa Musteen, her four grandchildren Abraham, Jack, Eloise, and Griffin Whelan, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th Street, Rogers. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jo Jones officiating. Interment in the Phillips Cemetery, Cave Springs, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
