Van C Bockus III of Magnolia, TX passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday March 19th 2024.
Van was born on September 7, 1956 in Litchfield, Connecticut to Ruth and Van Bockus II. After graduating from The Taft School in Watertown Connecticut he attended Syracuse University.
In the late 70's, Van made his way down to Texas. Not long after moving to Texas he began his career working for Houston Lighting and Power/ Centerpoint Energy. After a very fulfilling career as a head journeyman, Van retired.
He was an avid craftsman who enjoyed working with wood and metal, and he was actively involved in both his children's and grandchildren's athletic and extracurricular activities.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Beth; son Daniel; daughter Ashlee; son in law Aaron Sumrall; grandchildren Amie and Austin; sisters Nancy Ray, Kathy Van Waters, and Sarah Bockus; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Van is preceded in death by his father Van C Bockus II and mother Ruth D Bockus.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Van's honor can be made to March of Dimes or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

In loving memory of Van, a wonderful friend, neighbor, and person.
Our deepest sympathy goes to Beth, Ashlee, Dan and all the Bockus family in the passing of Van. May God bless you with peace, strength, and courage in the days ahead. May fond memories of Van put a smile in your heart.
