Vanessa Lorraine "Vickie" Williams

Vanessa "Vickie" Lorraine Salley Williams of Mocksville, NC passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 1st , 2025. Her Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 18th at 4pm at the following location:

Vickie Williams was born in Newark, New Jersey on May 3 rd , 1955. Her family moved to North Carolina where she attended and graduated from West Forsyth High School. Vickie was both athletic and studious. She was a cheerleader in high school, and enjoyed dancing, roller skating, aerobics classes, and playing tennis in her younger days. She was an avid reader as well; she could complete a novel in one night. In high school, Vickie took business classes and later became an Executive Assistant for a successful company in Winston-Salem, NC. But her proudest moment in life was when she dedicated her life to our Grand Creator, Jehovah God, and symbolized her dedication via water baptism on June 15 th , 1980; she served faithfully for 45 years as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Vickie was also very close and proud of her two daughters, who are also faithful, dedicated servants of Jehovah. Together, they place their full faith and hope in the words of Jehovah God's son, Jesus Christ, who promised that there would be a resurrection of all those asleep in death at John 5:28,29 where Jesus states: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.." Vickie's family and friends eagerly awaits this day, where we will welcome her back to a restored paradise earth with open arms!

Vickie was preceded in death by her father, Ruffus Richard Peebles, her mother, Thelma Frances Salley Peebles and her former husband, Anthony Tyrone "Ty" Williams.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammara (Isidro) Garcia of Wittmann, AZ and Telesia Garcia of Winston-Salem, NC. Her Grandchildren: Bryanna, Lyrianna, and Victorino, Jr Garcia, also of Winston-
Salem, NC. Her sister Richelle (Dennis) Burts of Mocksville, NC. Her brother Richard Terence Peebles (Tamey) of Richlands, VA. Her sister Marlene Peebles of Winston-Salem, NC. Her sister Janice Thompson of Lexington, NC. And a host of other very dear family members.
