Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Lewisville Chapel - LewisvillePenny Hauser Bell, 62, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Forsyth County, NC. She was born on April 29, 1963, in Lewisville, NC to the late Kenneth Gray Hauser Sr. and Jo Ann Hampton Hauser.
A proud graduate of West Forsyth High School, Penny went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from High Point University. Her career as a paralegal was marked by dedication and professionalism until she chose to step back to focus on what she held most dear—her family. Outside of her professional life, Penny was an active member of Center Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Gray Hauser Sr. and Jo Ann Hampton Hauser. Their memories will forever be with us.
Penny’s journey in life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 36 years, Owen Bell. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and countless adventures. Their union, which began on May 26, 1990, in North Carolina, was blessed with two wonderful children, Morgan Bell Rackley (Sandy) and Nathan Bell (Emma) who carry forward her legacy of kindness and love. Her heart was filled with joy by her granddaughter, Ensley Rackley, with whom she shared her passion for the outdoors and sunshine.
She was a beloved sister to Gray Hauser, who, alongside his wife Megan, shared countless cherished memories. Penny was the proud aunt to Matthew Hauser (Abbi), Kathryn Robertson (Nick), and Jake Hauser as well as a great aunt to Ayden Hauser, all of whom she adored.
Penny had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued; she never met a stranger and engaged in conversations with everyone she encountered. Her vibrant personality was matched by her love for life’s simple pleasures, such as family vacations, weekly family gatherings, and her cherished soap operas. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and a life lived fully.
A Celebration of Life service to honor Penny’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday March 27, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel, with Francis Smith officiating. The burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
In keeping with Penny’s wishes, the family kindly requests that attendees wear vibrant colors to honor her vivacious spirit and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
