Varry Bell Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by John O. Morris Funeral Home on Apr. 10, 2025.
Varry Darnell Bell, Sr., beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend,
passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Salisbury, Maryland, just days before
his 64th birthday. Born on April 17, 1961, in Accomac County, Virginia, Varry
was the son of the late Moveta Justice, Terry Justice, and Hessie (Junior) Fletcher.
Varry was a proud graduate of Arcadia High School Class of 1979. He furthered
his education at Eastern Shore Community College, where he earned his
Machinist Certification; a stepping stone that led to a position with Newport News
Shipbuilding. His strong work ethic carried him through five years there, followed
by fifteen years at Siemens Automotive. Later in life, Varry became a successful
entrepreneur, running his own business, Final Touch Landscaping.
In 1981, Varry answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States
Army-a mark of his dedication and courage. He was a man of deep faith who
enjoyed reading the Bible, with Psalms 23 and 51 holding special meaning to him.
In 2010, Varry accepted Evangelist Rousell Thomas as his personal (Spiritual)
mentor. Through this mentorship, Varry connected with Restoration Christian
Church of Virginia, in 2021, under the headship/leadership of Apostle Charlie
and Prophet Vikki Ammons and Campus Pastors Ray and Danette Miller. In that
same year, Brother Varry Bell eventually submitted his life and accepted Jesus
Christ as his personal LORD AND SAVIOUR.
Varry had a passion for life and simple joys; he loved shooting pool, playing softball, and
spending time with his family. He was known for his strength, generosity, and his warm
spirit that touched everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Moveta Justis, Terry Justice, and Hessie
Fletcher; sisters, Faye Bell and Auletha Jones; his son, Hezekiah Bell; brother-in-
law, Tommy Mason; and his uncle, George Bell, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are: six daughters, Terrall Steele, Nitoyia Bell, Renell
Bell, Shannon Plummer, Jada Shannon (Bell), and Nariah Bell; four sons, Tony
Collins, Varry Shannon (Bell), Jr., Juston Shannon (Bell), and Jeremiah Shannon
(Bell); seven sisters, Connie Marshall, Avon Mason, Edwina (Charles) Johnson, Una
(Edward) Tucker, Diane Kellam, Marian Hall, and Elaine Satchell; five brothers,
Donnie Bell, Kerry Bell, Lurell Justice, Marvin Clayton, and Maurice Fletcher;
two brothers-in-law, Marvin Davis and Orlander Jones; twelve grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; special niece, Saadia Davis; special friends, Alice Bell and
Heather Kelems; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Varry's life was one of resilience, faith, and love. He will be dearly missed but
never forgotten.
