Vaudie Beatrice Bailey Clayton, 87, of Moultrie, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Mr. Dewayne Clayton and Mr. Jerry Ingle officiating. Interment will follow at Schley Baptist Church Cemetery. Robbie Clayton, Eric Clayton, Courtney Azar, Heath Norman, Jason Hutton, and Cleve Crosby will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service.
Born on April 26, 1938, in Gordon County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Allen Wright Bailey and Mary Rebecca Self Bailey. Mrs. Clayton retired from Mobley Plant Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Clayton; son, Aubrey Keith Clayton; and sisters, Edith Barker, Ruth Ingle, Earnestine Morse, and Charlotte Casteel.
Mrs. Clayton is survived by her children, Dewayne Clayton and wife Sandy of Moultrie, Kathy Singley and husband Danny of Moultrie, Lynwood Clayton and wife Janice of Mocksville, NC, Craig Clayton of Moultrie, Roger Clayton and wife Sandra of Hartsfield, Lorena Boyd and husband David of Moultrie, and Dean Clayton wife Michelle of Moultrie; grandchildren, Lauren Norman and husband Heath, Allie Illian and husband Dereck, Gina Crosby and husband Cleve, Tina Azar and husband Courtney, Emily Hurst and husband Jason, Elizabeth Daughtrey and husband Will, Amanda Bilderback and husband Chris, Pamela Hutton and husband Jason, Ashley Brown and husband Steve, Keith Clayton, Krista Beatrice Clayton, Aidan Jones, Robbie Clayton and wife Jaimee, Eric Clayton and wife Tiffany, Matthew Boyd and wife Katie, Jennifer Boyd, Kathryn Boyd and Andrew McDowell, and Spencer Clayton and wife Sam, Gabe Evans, Turner Smith, Hannah Brady and husband Seth, Sara Burroughs and husband Clark, 36 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great- grandchildren; sisters, Martha Gray of Moultrie and Carolyn Kelley of Quitman.
