Larry Lee Kleitz, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Norman Park, Georgia, on October 11, 2025 after an extended illness. Born on July 18, 1942 in St. Joseph County, Indiana, to the late Marvin Dale Kleitz and Irene Huff Kleitz, he grew up in Elkhart, Indiana, and moved to South Georgia in 1972. He worked at various manufacturing jobs until he had an opportunity to drive a truck and found his true calling. He then worked as a truck driver until his retirement in 2010, after which he enjoyed working in his yard and playing golf as often as possible.
Larry was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar Kleitz and Dennis Kleitz, and by two sisters, Darlene Milbourne and Donna Wheeler. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Melissa, and a brother, Raymond Kleitz {and wife Karen) of White Pigeon, Michigan. He also leaves behind several cousins and nieces and nephews who will miss him very much.
As Larry wished, he is being cremated, and Baker Funeral Home has been entrusted with those arrangements. No services will take place at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
