Norma Jean Norman Nicholson, 79, of Norman Park, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Brian Blackburn, Reverend Jimmy Albritton, and Mr. Lance Giles officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery. Lance Giles, Nick Giles, Landon Weeks, Wes Shirah, Justice Zeigler, and Ramsey Merritt will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Born on February 15, 1946, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Leon Thomas Norman and Wilma Meeks Norman. Mrs. Nicholson was a beloved member of the community, remembered for her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit. She deeply loved her family and devoted herself to their care throughout her life. Through her heartfelt card ministry, she touched countless lives with encouragement, compassion, and grace.
She found joy in tending her flowerbeds, browsing her favorite shops, and taking peaceful drives in her cherished Cadillac. Christmas was her favorite season, and she took great pride in filling her home with beautiful decorations. Her pets brought her great comfort, and she cared for them with the same devotion she shared with everyone around her. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson Lawson Weeks, her sisters, Carol Ann Powell and Cindy Norman, and her brother, Tommy Norman.
Mrs. Nicholson is survived by her husband, Don Nicholson, of Norman Park; her daughters, Noel Giles and husband Darren, and Lori Weeks and husband Michael, all of Norman Park; grandchildren Lance Giles (Ady Granberry), Nick Giles (Kayden Hurst), Laine Weeks (Wes Shirah), and Landon Weeks, all of Norman Park; and several nieces and nephews.
