We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Vauna Peterson. She was born May 13, 1932 in Garfield, Utah, to parents Clisbee William and Alda Lovell. She peacefully passed away on November 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Vauna graduated from Cyprus High in 1950. There, she met the love of her life, Grant Peterson. They were married September 9th, 1950 and were later solemnized at the Salt Lake temple. Together they raised four children, Mike, Cindy, Diane, and Heidi. They were blessed with ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Vauna retired from Littons after many years where she made many lasting friendships. She was a member of the LDS church. After retirement, her and Grant loved to travel and spend time at their cabin. Later in life, Vauna loved spending time with dear friend, Chick Nell. Vauna had many hobbies that brought her joy, including quilt tying, embroidering, and crocheting. She had a talent for creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her loved ones for years to come. She was also a wonderful cook. Sunday dinners and holidays were always a special treat.
Survived by her daughters; Cindy, Diane, Heidi and daughter-in law, Jackie. Brother; Brent (Lois) Lovell, and sister; Jeannene Allred.
Preceded in death by her husband, Grant and son; Mike. Grandson; Cody, son-in-law; Steve Trujillo. Sisters; Darlene Timothy and Leatha Garfield. In-laws; Reid and LaDean.
Vauna will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten.
