Velma Perrigue

Velma Ruth Perrigue, age 86, Osage Beach, Missouri (formally of Kimberling City, Missouri) passed away on July 8, 2024, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.
She was born on June 8, 1938, in Maries County, Missouri; a daughter of Glen and Mayme (Eads) Huffman.
Ruth dedicated much of her life as a loving wife and mother. She returned to the work force and enjoyed working at a bank and retired to join her husband moving to Table Rock Lake. She volunteered many hours to various organizations.
Ruth loved being a part of Adventure Club, Book Club, Neighbors and Friends, United Methodist Women and lunches with the Friday Fillies. She was very active in her church, Kimberling City Methodist Church.
In September, 2023, Ruth moved to Arrowhead Senior Living Center in Osage Beach where she met many wonderful people and formed great friendships.
Her greatest joy was time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth will be missed by all who loved and knew her. She was a loving mother, grandma, great-grandma "GG", sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
Ruth is survived by her daughters Lisa Philipps (David), Laurie Perrigue (Larry), Linda Perrigue-Branson (Jerry), and her son John Perrigue (Christine); her grandchildren Carrie, Ashley (James), Michael (Elizabeth), Justin (Jillian), Lindsey and Jordan; her great-grandchildren Brooks, Noah, and Penelope; her brother Ike Huffman (Cathy); her sisters Dorthea Southard (Fred) and Nadine Smith; her nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Ruth was preceded by her Husband John Perrigue; her parents Glen and Mayme Huffman; and her siblings Charles, Mary Lee, and Ethel.
Celebration of Life will be at Kimberling City Methodist Church on August 10 at 11:00 a.m. in Kimberling City.
Inurnment at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery will be held at a future date.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the family. If desired, contributions may be made to Special Olympics or Web Kids Food Program at Kimberling City Methodist Church.
