Velva Collins Obituary
Velva loved bowling with a league, crocheting and shared her creations with fellow residents at Landmark Nursing Home. She loved the people and fellow residents at the nursing home. She would walk the halls and check on her friends, taking care of any situations she could.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B.W. Collins; father, Ellis Baxter; mother, Mae Baxter; sisters, Erlene Elmore, Myrtice Lester; brother, Hilton Baxter.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jackie Skipper and wife, Karen; siblings, Johnny Baxter, Janice Zuber, Charles Baxter and wife, Sandra, Diane Maynor and husband, Danny; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Skipper, Jeremiah Edward, Cole Skipper, Caden Skipper, Jacob Albritton, Stephen Zuber, Bo Guiterrez

Velva Mae was a vibrant cousin. She was so alive and interesting to be with. I will never forget her Barbie doll collection. I was so surprised at how many there were. Velva Mae didn't do things half way.
