Venus Latice Franklin was born to the union of the late Charles and Hazel Franklin on June 13, 1976 in Mobile, Alabama. She transitioned on September 15, 2025 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital.

She was employed by The Fresh Market, Picadilly's and Morrison's. She was a Delta Teen with the Women's Federated Club Mobile, and a lifelong member of Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club. She attended college to earn her Medical Assistant's degree. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She loved traveling and her Pittsburgh Steelers. She loved babies and entertaining family.
She was preceded in death by mother, Hazel L. Franklin-Burrell and father, Charles Franklin, Jr.; grandparents: Charles (Eula) Franklin, Julius Lambert, Mable (John) Thompson; aunts: Cynthia Parker, Charletta F. Dailey and uncles: Leon Forte, Calvin Crosby.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sister, Daphne (Michael) Gradney; brothers: Brian C. Franklin and Eric (Latisha) Franklin; nephews: Conlen C. Franklin and Ethan C. Franklin; niece, Makenzi Pettway; aunts: Diane F. Crosby, Rosa (Maurice) Tyus, Margie (David) McDuffie, Bernice (Isaac) Dixon of Albany, GA, Sally (Alan) Mills of Indianapolis, IN, Michelle (Terrence) Fritz, Lisa C. Thompson of Mobile, AL, Michelle (Rob) Askew of Macon, Georgia; uncles: Rondey (Priscilla) Franklin of Axis, AL, Dedrick (Cynda) Franklin of Mobile, AL, Russel Thornton of Philadelphia, PA, Tyrone Haines and Rickey Haines of Albany, GA, Julian (Diane) Lambert of Union, NJ, Anglius (Lonzetta) Thompson of Memphis, TN and a host of other relatives and friends.

We would like to thank Arabella Nursing Home, Stanton Road Clinic, Hanger Clinic, Mobile Infirmary Hospital for all of the great care of Venus.
