**In Loving Memory of Veola Odom**
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Veola Odom, age 76, who peacefully stepped into eternal glory on August 31, 2025. Born on February 9, 1949, in Cordele, Georgia, she was the cherished daughter of John Arthur Odom and Gertrude Odom. Her journey took her to Jacksonville, Florida, where she made countless memories with her beloved family.
Veola was a vibrant spirit who truly embraced life. She found joy in traveling, cherished the companionship of her Red Hat Group, and enjoyed piecing together the intricate details of jigsaw puzzles. Each moment spent with her was a testament to her zest for life and her love for those around her.
She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, John and Gertrude, and her beloved siblings: Mamie James, Mary Bell, Claretha Odom, John Henry, Charlie James, Robert, and Arthur Lee Odom. Their memories live on in the stories she shared and the love she held close.
Veola's legacy continues through her three adoring children: Robert Lee Odom (Brenda), Charese Odom Beaman (Rodney), and Juanita Odom Jackson (Calvin). She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Martha Mae Singleton, along with a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were fortunate enough to know her affection.
Though she will be greatly missed, her spirit will forever remain in our thoughts and hearts. We celebrate the beautiful life of Veola Odom, who touched so many lives and left an indelible mark on our souls.
